Manchester City are being linked with a possible move for Real Sociedad forward Mikel Oyarzabal.
The 22-year-old is said to be under consideration by City boss Pep Guardiola as he looks at possible replacements for Leroy Sane, who was a summer target for Bayern Munich. Sane is currently out with an anterior cruciate ligament injury and isn’t due back until early 2020. However, his future remains up for discussion with reports in Germany continuing to state that he will leave City once he returns to full fitness.

Oyarzabal, who plays as a left-sided winger but is also happy in a more central attacking position or on the right, has scored 28 goals during the last two seasons and impressed for Spain during the Under-21 European Championship in the summer.
A graduate of Real Sociedad’s youth academy, Oyarzabal is said to have a £67million release clause in his contract which City would no doubt have to trigger to secure his services. Real Sociedad will certainly do all they can to retain him should City or anyone else swoop next year.
Oyarzabal is under contract until 2024. He has been capped 6 times by Spain and has represented his country at various levels below the seniors. He has also featured for the Basque national team once.
